If you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway on the south coast of England, you might want to consider visiting Littlehampton, a charming seaside town with something for everyone. Whether you are a fan of history, culture, nature or adventure, Littlehampton has it all.

Littlehampton is located in West Sussex, on the eastern bank of the River Arun, where it meets the English Channel. It is about 50 miles south of London, 19 miles west of Brighton and 10 miles east of Chichester. It is also part of the Brighton/Worthing/Littlehampton conurbation, one of the largest urban areas in England.

Littlehampton has a long and rich history, dating back to prehistoric and Roman times. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as a small hamlet called Hantone. It later became a fishing community and a port, and gradually developed into a popular seaside resort in the 18th and 19th centuries. It attracted many famous visitors, such as Lord Byron, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Constable.

Littlehampton is also known for its award-winning architecture and design, such as the Stage by the Sea, a striking outdoor performance space; the East Beach Café, a stunning building shaped like a sand dune; and Britain’s Longest Bench, a colourful and quirky seating area that stretches for over 300 metres along the promenade.

Littlehampton has two beautiful beaches: East Beach and West Beach. East Beach is a sandy beach with a Blue Flag award for its cleanliness and facilities. It is ideal for families, sunbathers and swimmers. It also has a lively seafront with a funfair, amusement arcades, crazy golf and Harbour Park, an amusement park with rides and attractions for all ages.

West Beach is a shingle beach with a Local Nature Reserve status for its wildlife and habitats. It is perfect for nature lovers, walkers and birdwatchers. It also has a peaceful harbour with fishing boats, yachts and water sports.
